    No, not that kind!
    I had an old Atlas GP40 that I custom painted, and besides the fact that it had the older high speed motor in it, and wasn't easy to convert to DCC, it was just sitting in a dead track in my yard for looks. I figured it would be better to be able to run it on the layout, so... I took the motor and worm greas out and made a dummy GP40. Now I can run it on what ever train I want. Much better use I think!

    why didn't you mill the frame to make room for a decoder ? i assume aztec mfg. offers such modified frames

    WOW :eek: :eek: that is one great job. it looks like your layout is almoust done. do you think you can post more pics of it on your other thread My Work In Progress?

    Someone should write a book about doing this with various locos and call it "Dummies for Dummies"
