Now that I have detailed photo reference I am starting a new mansard roof. I realized that the way I faked the windows is kind of lame, so I am making my own window mouldings out of strip styrene that I bought a few months ago for making cornice mouldings.
The photo below is my first try. Although the windows I had on hand are too short, the technique itself works, so that's what I'll be using. Basically, I make a long strip (about 4") layering different strips of styrene, and then slice off sections, like cutting a loaf of bread.
