Saturday The 8th of April, we had a bright day after rain all day Friday.

5 of the happy gang managed to do a few L/O, not as many as last year, but time was well spent at the ones we did.
Sorry Andrew we did not get to #49.
Sorry BigDonny we did not do #34.

We did two Big club layouts , as I covered these in last years tour. I did not see the reason to repeat myself as you all now how to find old posts.

The first L/O is Hon3 , the scene is from Sumerset England where the builder hails from.

A few more pictures , this builder paints his figures black first then puts the colour on, this gives the figures "shadows".

Rural St Jacob A time warp

This next one just took my breath away, the attention to detail, the buildings are mostly scratch built.
The area is still much the same as depicted with lot`s of markets.

The setting is St Jacobs 1910 of the area around this building, . The show model it is on the 4th floor.

SRT R/R is set in Eastern Ontario, Rideau Valley + 3ft gauge operation

OOOKKKKKK, this is the last Layout I will post.

A lovely Ho with HO n3 built in to areas.
So look close and you will see where the track (hand laid) holds narrow gauge as well.

It's not rocket surgery
Nice pic's Chris! Great layouts too... I think that the elephant thing is no mistake - I believe that Jumbo the Elephant (who gave his name to the jumbo jet among other things) died when he would not yield the track to an oncoming engine. Sometime in the late 1800's?

It happened in St Thomas, Ontario. They have an elephant statue there commemorating it.

Thanks for sharing Chris.

I'll post pics of the layouts we saw after I get mine off the camera and a friend who was with us gets me his pics.

You think it was a tough day with just adults, we had two kids under 2! They were pretty tuckered out at the end of the day.

Also found out the hard way that it is better to look at the road than the map. Thankfully it was just a love tap with no damage to either vehicle.
