Has anyone modified a loco to be a track cleaner? It occurred to me that it must be possible to modify the pull-off tanks to incorporate a piece of masonite/hardboard (I think that's what you mean). That way, you don't have to drag a track cleaning or arbitrary box car about, particularly when you're otherwise involved switching cars. Cleaning the main line is easy, the tricky bit is cleaning the sidings...
