Digitrax Signalling system

Has anyone here tired out the digitrax signalling system?

I have been looking at it as a possible solution for my layout but I would need to completely rewire everything to add occupancy blocks and such.

I would like to actually use a "live" signalling system on my dinky little layout and I think this setup might work pretty well and also be 100% compatible with my DCC system.

I actually searched the Digitrax Yahoo group before posting here.

Unfortunately there is little to no useful information on it there and I honestly don't like posting there due to how cluttered the Yahoo groups get.

It looks to be a good system, though somewhat expensive.

I am about to rewire my layout for 4 blocks and i think it would be interesting to set up signals and possibly crossing gates that automatcally function as the train approaches etc.

It looks easy enough to use, though i am not sure which type of signal masts I would get to use with the system since they are not provided.

We have a signal expert in one of the local clubs. I can try to get in touch if you think it would help and/or you don't get anywhere here. "Railway Bob" might be one person who could help you out.

Well I am in no particular hurry with this, I was more interested in opinions of the system and what not.

I do want to get something for signalling in the future but for right now I am running without them.

With the Digitrax system it would be a while before I could afford all the components anyways.
