I'm new to model RR and trying to determine the best electrical approach for my HO scale project. I see advantages and disadvantages to both analog and digital systems but lack sufficient experience to decide which way to go. Can someone please point the right direction?

If you have a look furhter down the list of subject/forums, there is a "DCC Forum" have a little look in there, and see what ya reckon. :) :thumb:

How large (or small) is your layout? How many engines do you want, and what kind of operations do you intend to run? The larger and more complicated your layout, the more you should probably gravitate to DCC.

DCC also allows you run engine affects like sounds.

I guess it is a small layout based on some I have seen. It's on a 10' x 6' table top with about 60' of track. It will probably accomodate 2, possibly 3 trains. Atlas HO 12 layout.
