I have a Sony Cybershot, I think the model is DCS S75. I think it really depends on how much money you want to spend and how good the quality of the picture you want. You can use any any digital camera to send or put pictures on the internet. I'm sure some of the resident photo experts can help more.

Stary,

I use the Sony DSC-S75 also. I have some pics posted in the scratchbuilding forum. It is a good camera, easy to use, good battery life and has a good macro feature for close-up shots that you would use for your buildings and trains.

There are a lot of other folks here that also do great photos. Thay can tell you about their cameras and other equipment.

What you get is going to depend on what you feel comfortable with. Go to your camera shop (Ritz, Best Buys, CompUSA, etc.) and look at the selection. Get the feel of the camera and what it can do. Ask more questions and make your selection based what fills your requirements and meets your price criteria.

Welcome to the Gauge. Post a pic and have fun:) :) :)
