My search for useful items never stops....

Plastic bands for wrapping goods was something I discovered yesterday at work when I was working on top of some diamond shaped steel plates unwrapping some equipment.I looked at the bands , and discovered that the band had the same pattern as the floor.

Here is a bit of the band.

I painted it grey and did some removing of the paint on top of the pattern to make it look worn.

Then I made a simple stairs to show how real it looks in 1:25 scale.
I was out mesuring the stairs outside my workshop, scaled it down to 1:25,and here is the result.

I guess this also is useful in the armour section :)

This comes in handy for floor plates in space ship dioramas and especially for bunkers and other building in Warhammer 40K. Up to now I etched, embossed and scratched my plates, great Idea, love it. the possibilities are endless.

Now for the real question--where did you get the 1/25 scale leaves?
