Here are some shots of a Northern Pacific RR derailment in Hines, Minnesota. It happened on June 7th 1946.
It happens.... i probably should have stopped the train when i started hearing that sound the wheels make when they are rolling on the ties, but i didn't feel like walking over to re couple the BNSF hopper on the left. the boxcar on the right never fell off thankfully.
If you'd have stopped the train we wouldn't have this great train wreck to view.sign1
That first picture. I said, "Holy cow!" announce1 I hope no one was killed. I had a few model derailments like that! sign1
What were the tank cars carrying? Any toxic chemicals?
