A trio of Alco's finest, are moments away from a station stop at Santa Lucia California. This is a very narrow section of layout. The scenery is plaster hardshell, with Sculptamold terrain and Woodland Scenics and Scenic Express foam products. The house behind the trees is very thin styrene, cut and folded and glued into a house, crudely painted and only about 4 inches from the mainline.

Great shot! I love the palm tree - it looks real, and really sets the location.

O.K. heres another of the same area. The house is half of a Rix, Maxwell Ave kit, with an added dormer to give it a California feel. The palm tree is by Mtec, expensive but, I can't even come close to what they do. Thanks for the comments, they keep me fired up.

    Ralph's for fun!

Nice pic! That has to be one of the most attractive train paint schemes! That palm tree IS really well done too.
