I am sorry to spoil the fun, but this model doesn't look like right. The hull of the original ship was completely different. It seems that this model was based on a poor 1:200 Verlinden plastic kit. The issues of that kit were discussed at the www.steelnavy.com message board some time ago.

As I know, model based on a plans from Osprey book about Confederate ironclads. Do you know, is this book contents mistakes?

Osprey books are not a very good source of information. The one about Confederate ironclads is very bad. The drawings are wrong. They are more a fantasy of the illustrator than depiction of real warships.
