I thought (and correct me if I am wrong) that the rear numbers just went across the top of the back as opposed to across the middle of the back like the regular sd40-2's. Kinda if the Pyle light was between and below the 2nd and 3rd number. Thats what I remember....and it should be the same for the action red or dual flag scheme.....

Mike, can you take a pic of my SD40-2F at your place....to show him where I put the number...

NICE work Steve! They look awsome! Are you going to do all 25 red barns? I might get 2 of them for my layout too. I have 2 brand new SD40-2's that are just waiting to be converted to red barns. I just need 2 of those shells. Talk to you soon.

steve would kill me if he had another 21 to do for me. after finishing my 4 red barns he'll has to build 2 fp7 and 2 fp9... but pssssssst....he doesn't know yet....

been in vancouver a few days after the operating session at mikes and grants layouts. my fp7/9 are from central hobbies....

the shells look pretty good. just about the same quality as the redbarn kits. the guy from central hobby told me to use an atlas gp38 drive as it comes closes to the original.
