converting B-mann EMD F-& A to Micro-Train Magn-Matic couplers

Anyone done it before? Going from Rapido to knuckler. I have the Micro-Trains 1131 magne-matic adapter kit? Any special tools or advice? I've got a pair of fine-point tweezers and small screw-drivers and a swiss army knife?

How did it turn out? Would it be better to do just a half-switch with a boxcar? I know it would be easier, but what would be better

I did it 3 decades ago. I think there were 2 different mounts involved.
You seem to have the stuff, Just check that the conversion kit matches the mount on your loco, although I think it's generic.
Tip: put a long piece of thread through the coil spring until you get everything solidly mounted. A spring by itself will go ... somewhere.

I baught a book from a Wisconsin Hobby shoppe before I moved to Tennessee. The book is from MTL conversion of couplers. I'll take alook when I get back home.
