Construct your own bookend

Now something I necessarily need ...... ...... a "Galactica" bookend. Although I now do not want to cut the spaceship.
I thought of something else from the Galactica universe.
First I found me a bookend to the flea market for 50 cents to the really did it to me now not sorry.

Jetzt etwas was ich unbedingt benötige......

......eine "Galactica" Buchstütze. Wobei ich jetzt nicht das Raumschiff zerschneiden möchte.
Ich dachte an etwas anderes aus dem Galactica Universum.
Zuerst habe ich mir für 50 cent eine Buchstütze auf dem Trödelmarkt besorgt, um die tat es mir jetzt wirklich nicht leid.

Jetzt startet der Modellbau. Eine Adama-Ruine bei Ebay für 1 Euro ersteigert. Da kann ja nicht viel verkehrt gehen.

Auf der Seite Kobol.com mal geschaut was er denn so anhat und welche Farbe geeignet ist.

Dann aus Zellstoff Streifen angefertigt um aus der Spielzeugfigur eine Modellbaufigur zu fertigen.
Die Zusammenfassung....macht es nicht nach!!

Am Ende habe ich Modellbauspachtel genommen und diesen zurecht geschliffen.

Ok, erledigt. OK done.

Nun zurück zum Umhang. Zuerst habe ich mit Küchenrolle probiert. Als das Muster passte habe ich dieses auf Leinenschleifpapier gelegt und ausgeschnitten.
Now back to the cape. First I tried with kitchen roll. As the pattern fit I have this set and cut on linen sandpaper.

Die Anzugsvarianten/ The withdrawal options:

Beginnent von Innen nach Außen. Dabei hatte ich gleich die Augen und Augenbrauen ergänzt.

Nun ging es so weiter. Zuerst ein Stück Karton als Muster, um Ideen zu testen.

Die Nieten mit Zahnstocher und Holzkaltleim

Nach dem Trocknen Farbe drüber. After drying, paint over it.

Die Figuren wurden angeklebt. The figures were glued.

Die Wand folgte. The Wall followed.

wenn alles trocken ist geht es weiter.....when everything is dry, it goes on .....
