The difference Mikey, is that being in the desert, we are at somewhere around six inches for rain so far for the year, and we never ever don't like it when it rains. Well, some newcomers from PA might not like it but after you've been here a while you change.sign1sign1sign1sign1

The OTTS group had a great day at the Berea Train Show yesterday. After the show many of us went out for a bite to eat at the Station Restaurant.

sorry been busy

Hey guys sorry been away in GA, had to go see my new GRANDSON, the youngest and newest member of the Gauge and mrr and railfan. Introducing Anthony,
4lbs 10oz and came into the world a lot sooner than he was suppose to and scared the hell out of us, but hes one hellva a fighter.balloon6
Well I'm back home now so more to follow and BTW I got some great shots down at the the debutts yard while I was there. I'll post those over in the railfan section in a day or two.
Have a great day,
Tony AKA proud grandpa

Morning all. Back in NC. WI weather was better than NC. Suppose to change this week and we get warmer and they get cold. Congrats Gramps. Nice looking kid. Must take after its Grandmother. ;) Had great flights but US Airways destroyed my new roller bag. How?????? Got to call them this AM. Meeting with County Commissioners this afternoon so no trains. Reports to do. Home for a while. :thumb: Hope to get layout work done. Have a good one.

Here's my weekend accomplishments

Got three new DPM buildings built and placed on temporary streets/sidewalks, fixed and repainted one turret building twice. Cut a new sliding door in the blue transfer building and built a loading dock, added an entrance door with stairs and false inside walls for later interior modeling. Added speed limit and other trackage signs, and weathered the couplers on rolling stock and diesels.

Things I learned from all this: (1) Painting a detailed brick Nscale building is hard. (2) Glueing Nscale buildings square is harder. Reading the directions would have cut down on a lot of frustration and re-work (see 1 & 2). If you cut wrong with an Xacto knife - make a sliding door to cover up the mistake!

All in all, not a bad weekend in cool North Carolina.

If you are only posting pics, go here:

http://www.the-gauge.com/showthread.php?t=17176

and there is a tutorial on uploading pics to The Gauge.... Then - just put them in the appropriate forum :D
