That is scary  but looks very gool..I mean cool:)

It rained all night here and watered my thirsty palms well. It is about time to bring them indoors.

We have the local ,annual pumpkin festivile this weekend, the winner this year is 1048 pounds.

I sure would like to get some seeds from it and try to grow one next year.

It may be rained out this weekend.

Gil - I joined one of the grandaughters at school for a parent/grandparent breakfast this morning. We had: GRITS, pancakes, sausage, sweet roll, fruit cup, and beverage. Yes, sweet iced tea was available, I opted for coffee.

Yes, here in rural GA grits are acceptable fare on the school menu, beats scrapple.

Still morning here, slept in.
Nice photo Tom.
Halloween is a bit different here for us than it was back in Pa.
We don't get the trick or treat crowd as they are to scared to walk the neighbor hood with the coyotes and mountain lions that run the area. (can't blame them)
The farm that held the pumpkin festival was sold to a developer this year that plans to put in another housing development (just what we need in an area where there is barely enough water for the residence that live here now).
I haven't heard whether the pumpkin festival will be held somewhere else in the area.
Anyway, it looks like a nice sunny day outside. Think I'll dig out some O gauge trains today and start cleaning them up.

I must have been about 3 or 4 years of age the first trick or treat I can recall.

I was at my grand fathers home that fall and we had 2 feet of new snow .No one went out that night.

My uncle however, loaded us into grand dads 49 Willies Jeep I recall it had no heater and we went went up the road to a few niegbors, who were, I think, were expecting us.

When we got home a party had been laid out for us 4 cousins, with candle apples, cider, pop corn balls and candy from grand dads store. It seems like a huge affair now but I am sure it wasn't.

Christmass there was even better, 20 or so folks would be
gathered in and he had bubble lights on the tree. Man I was so facinated by those bubble lights.
My cousin, Inky, killed in Vietnam in 1970, that is when I and why Ienlisted ( like the moron I am.. ), had a ping pong table lay out of Marx, the 333 engine and frieght set I think with all the bells and whistles. I remember they would turn out the basement lights so all the signals and building would light up the room.

Hey Ray. Pumpkins in AZ??? Guys, raining here and may get inches before it quits. Fine with me. Need it for the ponds I manage for folks. Dining room finished. Putting furniture back and vacuming. Ran trains this PM. Switched some around and got SD60 on main line pulling those 15 hopper cars of coal. Now rest and watch TV. Later.

Good Morning All,

Well, it's still raining here too. After 3 months of hot. Now the grass will start to grow again. Cut, cut , cut .
That's better than sno...sn...s...I hate that word.
Got things to do today. Talk to you guys later.

Where the temp is a cool and wet 50 deg and only going to 60 with rain.

Last night we had our local OTTS meeting. That stands for Ohio Toy Train Summit. It is just several local trian guys that meet every other week or so. I am going to have them all (some already do) join the forum for the fun.
