Was up to 1 AM wiring switches to aux power and the remotes. Holes in the wall for running trains into the walkin attic. Got straight sections of track today so will try to get started in there with framing benchwork. Got to take down the outside Christmas now. Reversed the sidings and operation on the left side [coming in the main door] of layout. Wife has been home so can not spend all my time on trains [like when she is at work]. Got a "messy" two weeks coming so will no have a lot of train time. Town Board, meetings and visit retired pilot [over night] this coming week, fly to NH for meeting [retirement job] the next.

Cutting holes in plaster walls was a job. The two main lines on the left will go straight through [curved tracks are ther just so I could get distnace for engines to back up too]. Coal siding will curve and go through tunnel. Temp foam portals to help with looks.

Right side main lines will curve and go through portal. Got some straights today to move it more inline,

We drove down to Buffalo today to visit a hobby shop and Border's and Cracker Barrel. Very cold and wet this morning -- the wipers froze a bit as we set out and there was a touch of snow (not in the forecast) but by 2 o'clock there was blue sky visible and becoming better.
Couldn't find anything I was desperate for in the Hobby shop came home with a bunch of DVDs and a micrometer.

Hye Steamhead, You know I'd show you my layout but you'd think we where in a wharehouse, ITs in about 15 boxes and 6 shelves of stuff. Now as far as hanging drywall, if anyone wants to volenteer and come over and helpme we can get pastthis drywall thing here and getto some tracklaying...ANY TAKERS????
I did however build a Thomas the tamk train for my grandson this weekend and I do believe my Son , Son-inlaw, and Daughter as well asmyself played with it more than he did.... All a bunch of train addicts..
Yall have a happy NEW YEAR, Good health to all,
Tony

Sounds like a fun Christmas...!!! Nothing beats a train at Christmas time. Still remember my first "real" Christmas train set back in the 1/2 fifties....A great AF 0-8-0 set (which I still have...!!!).

I had to do the drywall thing (+ insulation, wiring, plasterin' & paintin') when I converted my garage to a train room..."Nuff of that...!!!

You all be safe and we'll pick it up NEXT YEAR...!!!sign1

The guys on the Roseyville Div of the NS stop their switching to wish each other a Happy New Year. The tanker driver has stopped at Franks Hotdog Stand for one all the way. The truck driver at the grain elevator is on his way there too. Happy New year.
