Well, my camera is still with a friend in hong kong, so I won't be able to post any build pics when the time comes. However, I will post photos of my latest project: the Columbiad Lunar Projectile from Jules Verne's books.
The model will, again, be rather simple and will consist of the projectile and a portion of the gun.
I have attached a rather "unflattering" rendering of the projectile model, but I guarantee that the actual thing will look a hundred times better.

I love classical Sci-Fi. It will be nice to see the finished model.
I have alway wanted to build a diorama or two of scenes from Georges Melies's silent film Le Voyage dans la Lune.

That film is certainly one of my favorite moves of all time, and definitely one of my favorite Sci-Fi pictures! I will probably make a model of the capsule from that film as well.

On a side note, I have decided, instead of a cannon diorama, to include a *somewhat* decent interior for the craft, largely inspired by cars on the Orient Express.

Czech author Ladislav Badalec made a model of this Moon Projectile. I am not sure, whether he published it or not, though. But he made it pretty much similar to the original illustrations:

Nice model, you can see more of it here:

(not my build)

He made more of the Verne´s "inventions", they were a part of an exhibition. I can´t fint a decent photo, but here are two:

Ah, yes, I remember those models. Simple, yet...tedious:rolleyes: I built their model of the HMS Sword when I was younger. Spent many fun hours playing with the sub! sign1
