Yeah, I'd like to see that as well.
Sorry about that.
I found this web site that says it has free models but I can’t open the files after unzipping. it even has a cylon.
BattlestarGalactica.com: 3d Models - Downloads
I believe you have to have 3D Studio Max to open those files, however, you can open them with 3D viewers. There are many available for free on the net. I've used Myraid Viewer, Alteros 3D and solid View to view files of that nature.
I just opened one of the Raiders with Alteros 3D, it was a lightwave object file, or .lwo
Try finding a 3D viewer.
Update: I just tried to open the cylon file and it's a max file and I couldn't get it to open in any of the viewers I currently have. I would suggest looking for a viewer that specifically opens max files. Sorry I couldn't be of further help.
Slip it my way fella and I'll try convert it
What would be you required format?
it would be grate if the files were in ( .bmp .jpg .pdf )
then we could build just about all of the ship in the show sign1

I think it's great. Where's the link for the file for others to try this? (as you can tell, I came in late to the movie) ....
BTW - I have posted a Sketchup version of the new Viper Helmet on Google's 3D wharehouse. I'd welcome comments on it.
Give me a link and I'll get er done. Whoot. I think the helmet links were posted a page, or two back.:thumb:

BSG Colonial Viper Pilot Helmet (Ron Moore Series Variant) by byJames DeRuvo - Google 3D Warehouse
while you're at it, how about making two! (hint hint)
Sadly though, I don't see any links to the pdf files for the viper helmet of this thread.
I DL'd the file and tried to open it with Sketchup, but it's a KMZ file for google Earth. I'll have a go again with Met, or Pep, but I have to tell you. I can't, as yet make these models. Sorry.
Stick around awhile and the author may honor your request.:thumb:
It unfolds quite nicely in Pepakura.
Oh, now that I've found this place I'll be a regular visitor.
