Thanks very much for all the kind comments everyone. It has been my pleasure to show you how I go about making a scratchbuilt building. Each time I do so, I learn more and more.

Robin.... those cooling towers are just perfect, the old power station in Orlando -Seweto has two which are now covered from top to bottom with a huge advertising display...if anything stands still for any length of time some one will put an advert on it Glad I was'nt the guy who had to paint those red rings around the smoke stack

I must thank Jimmy B for going to bat for me and finding out more about those wonderful steam condensing towers. The real ones are huge, and if I had built mine to scale, they would measure 39inches tall in N gauge. So now I just pretent my models are in the background so can be smaller.
