CN is insane

I was watching the news tonight on CFTO (Toronto's CTV station) and they has a segment on CN and the GO Trains.

I missed part of it, but from what I heard, the CN supplied the engineers for the GO Trains in the GTA, and they want to cut back to only ONE engineer in the locos instead of two. Doesn't sound like they're too concerned about passanger safety!

When I was riding the GO (up until last year) there was a crew of 3 -- Engineer, other engine man, and conductor. When the train ran in push mode, one crewman rode the loco. While it would usually be a dull job, it was very handy to have him there when the engine or generator conked out.
