City scene

On my layout I am setting small area for a city scene. with tall buildings, streets, the hole nine yards plus maybe a trolley system. But not really sure ware to start. I have a picture of the area.

Is this your first railroad? If it is the most popular process is to start with the bench work, then track so you know it works, then scenery. Some people build the layout in sections. like build an operable section do all the benchwork, trackwork, then the scenery untill your satisfied then move on to the next section, do all the benchwork, trackwork, and scenery untill your satisfied, and so on...

No it is not my first railroad. But it is the first being done in an 12' x12' room.
I have done smaller layouts when I was in my late teens early 20's, did not make any layout for some time. Now I have gotten back in to the hobby 4
years and running. This layout started as a 4'x8' now it is in a 12'x12' room.
a lot has been done and a lot to be done.
