I started a new model and the choice fallen on the Surfduke's wonderful capsule Apollo.
I chose the post-flight one because it always gave me the true sensation how hard could it be to flight to the moon and come back. And also because it could give me the opportunity of some improvement....

    Here the first steps

I found very difficult to do the handles in the way Carl chose, so I doubled their profile 3 or 4 times and I colored them with acrylic silver marker.

    See You later ...:)

    Superb start, Nando!

Another of the "to do" models, but I'm not sure which version. I have to say that post flight look is unique and very interesting looking!

You did an excellent job on the handles, it's really an outstanding job.
Just curious, and I ask because I just don't know the answer, but would the handles still be bright post flight?

Keep at it, I'm loving the way this build is coming out.

They really are bright as you can see in the picture below depicting the Apollo 13 CM lowered aboard U.S.S. Iwo Jima

Thank you very much for the superb photos showing the post flight appearance of the CM, Nando...your model is a dead-on ringer for the actual craft.

    Keep at it, mate!
