Some of you may already know this, but for those who don't....
I stopped in Office Depot today to check their prices on card stock and was I amazed!
I was buying 110lb card stock at Wal Mart, 150 Sheets for about $5.
The Depot was 250 Sheets for $2.02
$3 less and 100 more sheets and that is their regular price. I stocked up and got 4 packs! 1000 sheets for $8.08!
They also have different finishes and weights for that same low price.
Also for the next couple of days they have a couple of brands of photo paper,
    buy 1 get 1 free!
I asked a sales clerk, "If you only get 1, is it half price?"
She said, "No, sorry, but it is buy one get one free."
Still a darn good deal none the less.

110lb seems rather heavy for building paper models?

actually i also use 110# for most of my big pieces but i will switch to smaller weight for smaller pieces in the same model

i guess i just prefer mixing wieghts in a model for the streangth it gives

    They have 67lb also. Same deal, 250 sheeets of 81/2" x 11" $2.02
They have smooth finish and matte finish also.
You definately can't beat the price and 1/2 price photo paper is pretty damn good savings, if your looking to get any.:)

I use 110 for just about evrything and I will laminate the 110 to even thicker paper for parts that are for support, the ones no one sees like wing spars and such.

Just goes to show that the "big box"--everything stores aren't always the right choice. Specialist stores will give you more variety, better pricing and usually have knowledgeable folks to help you.....unliike the "one size fits all" stores.

    What a bummer...

I stopped by Office Depot today and received some bad news.
There is no more $2 per ream card stock.:(
It is now $10 per ream.
The $2 was only temporary until it sold out and then they switched to a different supplier. It was an unadvertised special.
If I had known, I would have bought a couple hundred dollars worth.
I called all 7 stores which were in a 50 mile radius from my house and all of them are sold out of the $2 brand.
Looks like we are back to Wal Mart being the cheapest available for the moment.

You didn't read my last post, #6.
They have a lot of good stock to choose from but nothing at those kind of prices anymore.
