When i first saw the y wing from Leofirebrand i always wanted one also.

I started to search the web for some blueprints but that is'nt easy
i also asked leofirebrand but he found the same as i did..
So i went on with the search and found this:

http://www.loresdelsith.net/fondor/yfighter/index.htm

He has a great blueprint.

Then i started to search for my Ywing..which one that i wanted to build.
I found out (as far that i can find)
there are 5 Ywings build
1. RED JAMMER
2. GOLD LEADER (TIE KILLER)
3. MOM Tour Yellow Y Wing
4. Blue/Grey stripe (King Tiger drive wheel) Y Wing
5. Triangles (as seen in the SW Chronicals page 111 along with the MOM Y Wing

It would be great to build all 5 of them..
But i don't know if i have that much patients for the main body...times 5

i also found a great howto for a prop replica which i think is very usable.

http://www.makmodeler.com/?p=2909

I have started with the cockpit..i figured, when i can do this i can build it also the body...i think :)

This i do when i come home from work...at work i do the snowspeeder, and at home the Y wing.

well i started and it start to look nice..
What do you think?

Wow, this is incredible! I love the way you just jump right in and build these incredible, huge models. Always one of my favorite SW ships, can't wait to see your build progress!

Wow first, all your extensive research makes me ambarassed at how little I do. You even knew all the different names people used for them. Second . This is an amazing start that I feel will put my Y-Wing to shame. I also do not envy you having to do all that greebling, it will drive you mad. sign1

Your models are incredible! How big a house do you live in? You might need a bigger one if you keep making these awesomely huge models.

Impressive as always Dnalor.
I am watching your builds avidly.
Keep it up!

Looking forward to seeing the room when you eventually say: "I'm done!", if you ever do....(There will always be 'just one more'. ;) )

And maybe, you could make a name for yourself, and promote cardboard recycling as an artform, which can you show in an art gallery !!:thumb:

hum...i first want to try to scratchbuild this ...it would be awsome when i can do that...

BUT i'm honoured that you want to give me your blueprints.

i know your Y wing will be an A+
But i want to try to construct it myself..first..

Thank you for your offer but can i take a raincheck for now?

There was a concept drawing of a Snowspeeder modified from the cockpit section of a standard Y-Wing, with big laser cannons on each side - It would be awesome to see you do one of those, as I've never seen anyone do a kit or a scratchbuild, especially to your standard!
