Today the hull closed..
but somehow it didn't fit..
so i had to slice it up, and glue it like that...
now for the correction i have to adapt the middel section (under the turret) so that it looks better..

i hope that the top hull goes easier..:)

Thanks, yes untill now the fusion works great...every detail from the other falcon fits almost perfect on the orginal falcon..that i wanted to build.
very much thanks for the links of the other falcon-treads below in my tread (that is were i found it)

Now i'm also thinking about reworking the cockpit incl tube..
The one i''ve build is with dark windows and nothing in it...

But when i find a good inside dashboard walls and seats i'm wanting to rebuild it...
Because at this point i think it all of the falcon build until now looks great (to me) and a cockpit incl lighting would be super.

But my friend google isn't finding anything usefull...

At the moment i''m really waiting for the leds..
When i have them i can glue the ship-parts together and start at the above side of the falcon...
I have allready cut the skin and ribs..so that should go fast..:)

It's a funny song...but i hope i get my falcon before christmas :) (and i'm building mine)

The engine is ready to be attached to the millenium falcon :)
I hope it isn't to large..or i have to cut away some flaps.

Today was the start of installing side panels, and top parts.
Somehow nothing fits :)

So with some cutting and bending everything comes to its place.
but it looks great ...for me.

Looking good! I can't wait to see the lights in the engine!

Word of advice: if you didn't already know it, make sure you build a light box for the engine lights! Doing that will make it easier on you because you won't have to light-block the entire model. Every photon will be contained within the light box and it will keep the model looking great. Wrap the box in aluminum foil to block all the light.

Well...
about the lights...
The led strip was defect...some leds didn;t work..
and there is very little light coming of them..
The led lights i have at home are better..
So i have put a electrical-cable and made a (i hope) an engine i can slide in the falcon with another light source which i still have to find.

I still recommend Easy LEDs. They're quality, top-notch strips at low prices. I can personally vouch for them as I know their creator. They're a heck of a lot brighter than those and will not be defective; the maker personally tests each strip he makes before he sends it to Starship Modeler.

Hey M.F., do you think you could post a link for the EasyLED's?

Dnalor, your model is just going to be so awesome when you finish it. You're on the final stretch! :)

Thanks, I hate to admit that these are new to me. I am falling behind the curve! I can't believe they can take a full 12 volts! :)

at the moment i''m constructing the inside of the cockpit.
I found an CG model of the cockpit in google sketchup and it's great...
Now i'm trying to make it look that great.

The outside is standard. i only cut-away the black windows out of the hull and the upper glue-flaps in the front.

The inside is my Custom, at work i need to build the buttons and print them so that i can glue them to the dashboard.

i want to build the inside with an open cockpit-door and a little hallway, but that is for tomorrow :)
