Will always be re-membered
Andrew, have you ever thought about scratch building some of your structures? I looked for grain elevator kits but they didn't look like the real thing. Instead, I made some based on photographs I had taken in various locations in Saskatchewan and I am really pleased with how they turned out. It took me a while to get into this scratch building mode but now I seldom buy a kit anymore.

There's a nice article on the older grain elevators in Saskatchewan with lots of pictures in the January issue of Railroad and Railfan.

We travel west to Alberta by car in July every year and I must admit I take a lot of side trips just to take pictures of some of these older structures myself.

The old style ones are disappearing quickly and being replaced with 'High through-put' massive concrete structures. Soon they will only exist through the medium of model train layouts and pictures.
