don't be afraid. its like being afraid of thunder and lightening. sure people get hit, but with the most basic of precautions, it is not something to worry about.

I've had some 500 transactions on ebay, mostly buying but a bit of selling, and not one horror story to report.

If your buying, make sure your dealing with someone with some selling record (over 20 transactions) and no negatives. That's about it.

Im not affaid of e-bay but even what you said can still get you in some unwanted trouble.

Take Davids case, he had said earlier that this guy had had not one negative before his transaction and he had 36 positives with a a couple repeat buyers (one being David himself) and he had bought stuff from a few people more then one time also. So he had re-peat business by both buyers and sellers. I would have trusted him to, he had good feedback and obviously David thought he was a good seller because the seller had shipped items to him before.

Just goes to show, you cannot trust everyone out there.

I actually made a mistake on the feedback and posted a positive for him when I meant it for another seller. So bottom line is that I never got either order!(combined shipping) I always check a sellers feedback rating and use paypal, the only reason I trusted him and sent a money order was because he was a member of this forum.
