I recently found an HO scale model train I had thought had long ago been thrown away. It is a Bachmann Daylight with a Chessie System paint scheme purchased some time in the 1980's for me. It's now in horrible shape but I remember when it was purchased how amazed I was with such a strange paint scheme for a Daylight type train. Sorry, I'm not the biggest train buff, so my knowledge is less than your average newbie. Anyway, if anyone can help me identify if this was produced on purpose or if it was an error, I would be very much appreciative. Here's a linked thumbnail below.
If that doesn't work, try this...
Thanks in advance for your help!

It wasn't an error. They even put them out in Amtrak . The original Daylight color scheme, a simplified black and white one refered to as the "War Baby" scheme and the American Freedom train (#4449 I beleive) were the only legitimate paint schemes they ever wore. Still' it makes for a pretty lokey :thumb:
