Athearn John Deere train set any good?

Some members suggested started out with Athearn train set, I did some research on internet and saw a John Deere train set, is this a good starter train set? also was wondering what kind of track are they using, is it same as Bachmann EZ track? thanks

I think Athearn still supplies Bachmann nickle silver E-Z track with their sets. The set will be very good quality, but nothing in it will be prototypical. It is like NFL sets or Cocoa Cola sets. I don't know how many sets they made, it may be a nice collector's irem.

As you probably read in your other thread, the Athearn sets are among the better ones available.
