Athearn Express Milk Reefers

While we were traveling, my model railroading consisted mainly of reading, building a few kits, and buying equipment. Now that we've bought a house and have once again settled down a little, I've been trying out my new "stuff". I purchased three of the Athearn express milk reefers and have discovered the couplers are a little too "high" for reliable coupling. Am I the only one who has this problem? If not, short of replacing the Accumates with body mounted MT's, what did you do to solve the problem, if anything? At the moment, cutting them off the trucks and body mounting MT's appears the best solution. Thanx,

Dick

Now I'm AMP'd
If I'm not mistaken(Which happens alot) I think MT makes a coupler with a shank thats angled to the right height, or, you could try replacing the whole trucks with MT's.
When I was into N scale, thats the first thing I did when I bought rolling stock. Replace the trucks that came with the rolling stock to MT's trucks.
