I started this build back in January and stalled it to get the titan completed. I still have some work to do (like a figure and base...), but here it is so far.

Model by: Newobmij

Modifications:

Added raised detail, recessed detail, grillwork.

Cut out the latticework on the platform.

Layered the detail on the guns

Removed flat cannon from the bottom of the Venom and scratched a rolled barrel replacement.

Nice. The details and in particular the grillwork make it look better than mine.
I wonder if the belly slats would have looked better if you had blackened their edges.

The slats are tinted yellow-green, the lighting just wiped it out. If there was any change I would make to the model, it's that area as the slats are supposed to be on a beveled surface making a gutter for the cannon and gun; and not flat with slats.

BTW, If you ever do decide to cut out the grating, one of the patterns need to be flipped to line up properly (found that out AFTER I was finished cutting it all out) and make sure you reserve some time in a nice padded cell after you complete it. ;)

Couldn't wait to show you....still a WIP.

Got the base built and the venom mounted with gunner...just need to finish the gunner's armor and helmet plus a few details. Sorry for the blurry pics.

Now that really makes it come to life. Is the orange thing next to the base the light source? How did you make the explosion?

Nice to see something other than Imperial arms. Nicely built venom, That lattice work I assume, requires a very sharp #11 blade, and if it is X-Acto, probably 3 blades to finish it, if it does not rip some of the lattices when it gets dull. Good job Armorman.

Terrin:

The explosion is hot glue and transparent paint.

Silver:

3 blades for the whole thing, only one rip in the latticework (top and bottom).

Thanks, everyone! :)

I hope to have finish shots up soon.

akron:

that is the power supply. I got a $1 LED finger light from Joann Fabrics that they carry around halloween, soldered on a wire extension to the LED, plugged it into the explosion, and there ya have it.

BTW, I meant to write that the explosion was HOT glue NOT WHITE glue...

the gunner and the weapons are all paper as well as the base and the vehicle.

Again, that is one aspect of modelling that I have problems with, figures. The weapons are not much of a problem but figurines at that scale are hard on the eyes and my fingers are a bit too thick. Good job on both the figure and the gun platform.:thumb:
