Here's a sad sight -
This old workhorse is being cut up, & hauled away, piece by piece.

Here's a shot of one of the engine crew on GP7 #810, waiting for a fast freight to clear the main, so he can resume his switching duties.

Charlie,

I bet the work crew that is cutting up the steam engine likes to kick puppies and steal candy from children, too. Sad...sad...sad... :(

That gives me an idea...

Thanks for the pictures Charlie!

I've got a couple of POS Bachmann locos (the white box kind) that were banned from ever touching my rails again. Looks like they will spend the rest of their existence partially disassembled and riding around atop flat cars as they search for the elusive scrap yard. Kinda like going to purgatory to atone for their wicked construction! **evil cackle**:D

Thanks BDC,
That steamer in the picture is of somewhat dubious lineage -
I bought it off aguy several years ago at a swap meet for 50 cents. I have no idea why - but I finally found a use for it!
BTW, Rory,
Tonight I'm building an overhead crane to make life even easier for those "puppy kicking, candy stealing" buggers! :D
I'll post some pictures when I can.

I have a better use for that engine! Replace the trucks, make it narrow gauge, and run a tourist trains with it!
