The Velie Monocoupe 70, By Fiddlers Green

Been meaning to do this one again with windshield and interior.
Dressed it up a little with different wheels and made the prop spinner out of a fishing sinker which also acts as a balance weight. [IMG] OOPS I see I forgot to install the step by the door [IMG]
Not completely happy with how the windshield came out and I forgot to do the windows in the wing [IMG]

    On Silent Wings I Fly.

    We havin fun yet?

    Superbly built, Birdman,

and very nice detailing. I like the wheels, the windows and the interior - they add a distinct look of the real thing.

There are a lot of interesting facts about this marvellous little monoplane at Fiddlersgreen:

    You´re welcome, Birdman,

I found some interesting fact and photos of the real thing - makes you wish you were back in 1929, with a fat wallet (contrary to most people in those days):

    Lucky Frank Spring . . .

It seems that some buyers didn´t need that fat wallet - take a look at this Bill of Sale, (which I cleaned up a bit from the site above):

Do you think that this could this have been some sort of order confirmation payment? Otherwise, it´s pretty cheap for an aeroplane, even in 1930.
