An ABC model from the novel of Jules Verne : Robur , the conqueror.
Very Well done Jan!
Indeed. What a clean and delightful build of a wondrous subject! Thanks for sharing the photos with us.
very cool and unusual build i suppose the question is will it fly? lol
Very cool model !!! Congrats.
That is quite an old model. I have one in its original and unbuilt form from over 10 years ago. It really looks lovely when built.
According to Verne, it was made completely from paper/wood products using a special process. So, it would seem that your paper model is quite accurate!
I love this model! I have three copies of the kit, including the original larger version, but I've never built one yet!
Great job on this one, Jan. Was it especially difficult?
Wow, that's a lot of repetitive work, glad to see you pushed through it, and with flying colors too.
It is not a difficult model but that is a lot of repetitive work.
Glad to hear that, Jan. My other question is, is that a reproduction book? It looks too new to be an original edition???
It is the ABC reedition of an old Albatros model. You can find it here with several other Jules Verne's models:
Thanks, Jan. But that's not what I meant! I have the old Albatros model (ah, someday!).
I was asking about the novel behind the model in the last photo. It's a recent publication?
Sorry , yes it is a recent publication and not the original one (rare and expensive , I think).
Where can I purchase a paper model of Jules Verne's Albatross ship?
Looks like fun that airship..
