Glendale AZ.
Just bought the Bachmann 2-10-0 with DCC and Sound, its been recommended by some to add weight to the tender front as it's been reported that the front truck tends to derail.
Had hoped to add 1/2 oz. in the form of 2 1/4 oz. weights on either front upper corner of the tank/shell .
On removing the shell find even these small weight's are quit a bit to thick resulting in the tender shell not being able to seat on the frame properly.
Anyone found a way around this?

Don't have any specific experience with that loco, but you may want to try "lead putty" that can be shaped and fit into odd or narrow spaces. Saw it at my local train shop, and found some in a n old engine I bought too... Not as heavy as the lead weights, but it might help.

You could also try some Lo-temp (I think that's the name), which seems to be a low-melting point white metal. You could cast weights to fit your space... but I do not know if it is low-temperature enough to pour directly into a plastic shell!

Hoep that gives you some ideas.
