ACT now owns a 2-8-0

Here is my Sunday's work . This is my first steam locomotive on the ACTRR.
Got it decaled and decoderized as well as the MT couplers on both ends. The good news it , it still runs good!!

They make you a believer. I have 4 of them, only 1 is dcc equipped but it runs so quietly around the layout that I have to look for it. Starts to crawl about 6 ties per minute at speed step 1 and will pull 8-10 40' cars and a caboose at that speed around the layout. I had forgotten about starting it once and had it moving at step 1 for over 30 minutes - it made it about 1/2 way around the layout up a 2% grade and was feeling no pain, when I noticed it and moved it up to speed - I run mine at about 30 and that is still slower than most of my diesel units.

I hear you dave , I really like it. I have not had time to run it much yet but it runs well right out of the box.
