As the journey is near an end, I exit highway 43 to take Canal Road, a shortcut to Lafayette, which is by the tracks, naturally, which departed the highway 20 miles back, in Brookston IN. I spotted a train and stopped to get some pics of hte rollin' stock. This is the same CSX line we've been following.

Our Journey is over when we cross the Mighty Wabash River, for Lafayette is just past it.

There was a headon between to steam engines long ago on this bridge. There were no survivers.

Winding back the clock, this little string of cars was found just west of Monon, at the beginning of the journey. Superman could probably see them in the first photo's I posted here looking west.
