Does anybody know what this is? Post your opinions!

    I'll post the solution in a few days... :D :D :D

One hint: It is a part of a hi-speed passenger train.

My first thought was some kind of turbo or something, but i think it maybe something less "fun".

I think CavlrZ nailed it first. The working parts of a toilet, similar to those seen on airplanes.

that was my less "fun" option too. :thumb:

Sure, everyone knows it is ONE OF THOSE. All you need to do is get another and you'd have two.

If this is your cousins still, I do not want any of the squeezings<g>

BTW - I will go with the flow of (this toilet water) thread.

I agree with everyone else, a toilet. I got a little "heads up" though. Mythbusters on the Discovery Channel the other night was working with an airline toilet. :D :D :D

    Hi guys,

as it seems, the Gauge is really a bunch of specialists for railroad technology! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Yes indeed, these are the technical innards of a vacuum toilet of our hi-speed trains. On the pic below you see the complete toilet on a test stand in the passengar car repair shops here in Olten. (Olten is one of the most important RR hubs of Switzerland, and I live less than a mile from the shops. :) )

Last weekend the shops had open house and of course I made the tour. I'll post a few pics in the 'Real thing - International' section.
