Any tips on HOW to get on with a railroad? I have 3 different applications in with UP and they've had them for 3 years. They keep expiring and they regenerate them. :cry: I live 30 minutes away from the main yard in Little Rock and have no objection to relocating.
I'm toying with the idea of using my GI bill to go to a railroad school. But would that even do any good?
My uncle worked for Rock Island until they were bought out here by Missouri Pacfic. Worked for Missori pacific through the merger with UP and then retired from UP. But he moved off and I have no idea where too now. So no pull from him. Everyone else in the family are truck drivers including me. I just want to work the rails.
