Searching through some old files I had lurking around and came across this link, which is still active. http://www.railpage.org.au/articles/G517.html It basically describes a trip in the cab of a "G" class loco from the viewpoint of a truck driver. Some fascinating stuff there. For those who are not Australian, the Commodore mentioned in the second part is a cousin of the European Opel, maybe a "Senator", which are raced over here fitted with various modified V8 engines and available for purchase for the boy racers and the not-so-young going through a mid-life crisis. For the Americans the imported Pontiac 2-door is a mongrelised Commodore.
