I have downloaded it since a while, maybe this could help you : http://www.cardmodels.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1379

But it seems that the site has changed. Maybe you will have to join in order to download it, I do not remember.
Anyway, I have started a report on it at Kartonbau.de :

The kit is on pdf format and consist of more than 50 A4 pages.
The way it is to be built by module is interesting, but at the end you can not show it with the cargo bay openned, unless redesigning everything from aft cockpit to the rudder section.
Also it is a black and white kit, but it is big !

If you want a detailled shuttle, try Mr Fortezza's one.

But today, I have stop the building process because I am moving home and I must pack everything.

    Best regards

Maybe someone can upload it in the parts bin... its just 1 mb...

then again, it would be a copyright violation...

I have this model, but haven't got the nerve starting it...

dardard's right, if you want a detailed one, go with Dr. Fortezza's shuttle, if you want a big one, get this...

    Dr Fortezza?

Where would you get his shuttle at? url?

    Dr. Fortezza's shuttles are here:

But be warned: These are some of the most difficult models I've ever seen...and I've seen a lot. They are definitely worth your time, though. You'll never find any shuttles more detailed. They even beat most plastic models I've seen.

    Thank You jparenti!

Actually, I already have these and I have always thought of them as the marscenter models.
I did not associate them with the designer, which is bad on my part.

You are absolutely right, these are the most amazing shuttle models I have ever seen! Truly awesome!

Yes buddies, Marscenter (a.k.a. Prof. Fortezza) model is an excellent kit. I already have it (or, had it... i donated to a colleague when i moved from Italy to Brasil) and already posted some pics here in the forum. I suspected that the 1:50 model was b/w, but i was interested in seeing how it was developed on paper. I don't know if it worths to be built (i have no space at all at home since i'm dividing the apartment with other 4 people) but surel must be impressiv in size. If someone who has the file could PM to me, i would be glad.

    How-to download.

It takes ome guessing an searching but this is how to download it. Just worked for me...

Click on "download" in the first blue page, opened with the provided link.

A page is opened with at the top in blue : paperSTS.
Also you'll see 2 tabs. Click on the grey on on the right.

Thius page is now under a blue tab and gives in the middels some text about the file. And 2 buttons for http-protocol or ftp-protocol.

I used the http-button. A page comes up and in the grey area is the link to download the zip-file. It's the first on at the top...

Does anyone have links to the boosters and possible a launch pad for the space shuttle?

I've been searching and haven't found any yet.

there's no SRB/ET stack for this one on the net in this scale... but if you can enlarge the one made by sir Bill, available on sir Jon Leslie's (jleslie48's his forum screenname here) site: http://jleslie48.com/gallery_models_real.html , then you can make one for this.

As for the launch pad, there's still none available...

guys, care to design one for everyone? :-D

Awesome! Thanks for that link. I should be able to scale that properly to that really nicely detailed shuttle.

Yeah, now all we need is the launchpad. Anyone even have good pictures or links to some?

About a year ago, I saw a thread at our German sister forum - http://www.kartonbau.de/ where some guy had built a HUGE grey paper launch pad, complete with tower and crawler.
I have since been trying to locate it but I haven´t had any luck yet.
I know I have seen it somewhere - it was an impressive thing, very detailed.
When the modeller was almost finished, the whole thing toppled over and fell on the floor. So, I think he had to do some extensive repair and rebuilding.
It might have been on Kartonmodell-Forum or Kartonist.de but I think it was Kartonbau.de - I´ll keep on looking for it now and then.
I recommend you to do the same - I can tell you it is definately worth your while if you should find it.

I have never seen anything like it - I should have bookmarked it, of course.

    Good luck,
    Bengt

    Shuttle Launch Pad

I´ve done some more searching but I still haven´t come up with something - it´s an elusive son of a b-ch.
However, through Google Pictures I found this very nice launch pad model by Simon Atkinson, without the left-hand tower and crawler: http://images.google.se/imgres?imgu...es?q=Launch+pad+model&svnum=10&hl=sv&lr=&sa=G

    I´ll think I´ll have a look at 'Starshipmodeler.net" next . . .

    All the best,

    PS. (edited in): Nope - I didn´t find it there either . . . : http://starshipmodeler.net/cgi-bin/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=42

    That's a nice model!

Yeah, I also tried searching through that whole site that you mentioned above, sad to say I couldn't find it either. :(

Hopefully we can find one soon. A space shuttle looks much better on a launch pad as it adds so much more to the realism.
