Hi, been lurking awhile in the forums and at the behest of a certain member, I've decided to post my 1:144 scale Buck Rogers Thunderfighter build here...

Original design and template is by Martin Sanger, and I've reworked/simplified some of the parts to use for the 144 scale build.

As it is, the original design and template is pretty much rock solid when it comes to the fit and buildability of the model... that's why it only took a few simple tweaks to get it down to the simpler and smaller parts for the 144 scale model.

Well, on to the pics...

Finally, pics of the finished little bugger...

I've also built a stand for it, but I'm waiting to get some little magnets to be used as the connector between the stand and the model (I've inserted a small flat magnet somewhere at the bottom and in the middle of the little fella).

Comments are welcomed (good AND bad), and if you have any questions about the build, I'll be glad to answer them.

Until next time...

:eek: My God that is awesome! Don't drop it, you will never find it!. I am at a loss of words for something so small, yet having every detail there. This is a model to be very proud of, and I hope you are, most impressive! :thumb:

Thanks Zathros... btw, dropped it a few times already due to the wind. Luckily I built it strong... only the front cones got bent abit - all I had to do was to smooth them out... the rest of the model was a-ok!!!! Imagine that - the fact that the little bugger is so layered with the different parts gives it some really decent rigidity.

That was not the main intent, but it worked out anyway! :)

You did an OUTSTANDING job on this model.
The model looks FANTASTIC!!!
You did a GREAT job on the stand as well. I like your idea of using a magnet to hold it in place.
I look forward to seeing your next project.
Keep up the GREAT work.

SWEEET! :thumb::thumb::thumb:

Always wondered what would happen if you let two Thunderfighters alone, in a dark hangar bay, with no-one disturbing...! :mrgreen:
