    what happens if you do a zoom extents in a side elevation? I'd expect it to go right in to display the grey blob in detail.. (unless there's an unwanted object out in the distance somewhere.)

    I guess it depends on how complex the object is. There was a tut for sketchup that showed how one could take a photo of an object and make it into a 3d model (within Sketchup.) They used a pic of a bird house in their example. The pic only showed the front and side and the roof. I guess one...

    well I hope it works, schorhr. If I remember one of the planes I made using this material was a small model of the wright brothers plane. It had a lot of exposed framing.

    Hmmm - its going back a while, schorhr. The string was fine white stuff.. like a fine parcel string.. (it was a small model.) ..and the clue.. I cant remember - maybe it was the plastic cement.. but not sure now.. Guess one would have to test some and see.
