I grew up with that generation of movies, before CGI took over. I have to say, some paper models I've seen (even with flat surfaces with printed-on textures) look more realistic than a lot of the CGI crap now. Funny how something made out of paper can have so much visual weight to it.

Also when Starbuck is unable to launch along with her nuggets early on in the series, there's a scene where she talks to the space-traffic controller in the observation room.

Nice WiP photos, really helps being able to visualize how it all goes together. So many models, so little time, but def keeping this thread bookmarked for when the time comes.

That's amazing! I personally prefer the older 40k models. Tried building a rhino years ago but I had neither the patience nor knowledge back then. May have to give it another go now. Now if only old-school Tyranids were paper-craftable >.<
