    Welcome to the new Zealot

I'm afraid I find the new site more frustrating than anything else. The "modern" software must be too much for my old computer, as everything takes forever to load. I have the same problem on every 'blog" type site I ever go to, as well as any site that has all those little social media...

    I had a great christmas

That's good. I got mine a long time ago. Maybe they either polished up the molds, or cut new ones, since then. All of the PM kits I got back then had to be sanded down to get a decent surface finish on them. (SU-15, C-45, AT-11, and HO-229) Scott K.

    I had a great christmas

Some nice goodies, Mike. You'll have to use that new Coolpix to take some shots of your builds of those klits to show us. I'd be interested to know if the surface of the PM's Expeditor is still so "pebbly" as mine was. I had to sand it all smooth before painting. @Micah, sorry to hear you...

    U.S.S. Essex NCC-173

The old address I found for it was http://www.geocities.com/andertonbargo/Magellan/uss-essex.zip, but it doesn't come up in the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. Diego had several other starships too, modified from Martin Sanger's Stargazer pattern. Two of his other models are still available...

    Seattle Space Needle

I know there's one or two free small ones out there. I can't remember exactly where I got mine, but it might have been in this thread here; http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=1467158 One I'm thinking of says, "Made by Rei" on it. Scott K.

    Moonbase Alpha Launch Pad

    HAW206 Tank

I always thought of this one as a sort of "Super-Tachikoma". I'll be following this thread with interest. Scott K.

Polar Lights TOS Klingon D7 1:1000

I know the original was a grey/green color combo, but not that drastically different. The ancient Star Trek Poster Book series had an issue with good color photos of the original model that showed the color difference well. I don't think the 2 shades were distinguishable on screen, and with the...

    Moonbase Alpha Launch Pad

"Thud!" That's my jaw hitting the floor. Someone actually built one of my models! Thanks, bgt01! I see there are a couple of changes I need to make. Not sure why part "7a" didn't fit right, it looks OK on the layout. I also see that I need to reduce the number of parts "6". The ones covered by...

I was ill, but now am much better

That's really incredible news, John! I had no idea there was anything they could do for your problem, especially with such great results. No worries on not saying anything to most of us, I'm sure facing the procedure had to be somewhat frightening. I hope this means you can return to all those...

    A Stargate What?

Stargate Lego-style building block toys? Yup. I saw a Stargate Atlantis Wraith Dart set (of all things), at a discount store I was in yesterday (Family Dollar, for those in their market area). "Stargate toys? Now?" I thought. I wondered what else there might be, and after a quick Google, found a...

    Star trek: Legacy ships

Does the D-10 Riskadh exist in this series? (http://home.comcast.net/~ststcsolda/klingons/D-10/D-10.html) One of my favorite FASA designs, though I like the rest that you've posted as well. Scott K.

    Star Trek Cadet series

I just saw this one in our local hobby shop last Friday. I would have gotten one, but its way beyond my means at the moment. I like it better when I thought that the Cadet Series was just reissues of the old 3-piece sets. I'm assuming in this one, only the E-Refit is from the old kit, with the...

    1/96 LUT Papercard Model

Thank you Cyana! All I can say is, WOW! Tye model looks amazing. I also had no idea a pdf could do that. The only problem I can see though, is for those who can't build near their computer. Can flat pages still be printed form the 3D instructions? I didn't think to test that when I looked at...

    Boeing Model 307 Stratoliner

Thanks, guys. John does some really nice work building these, too. Here's his latest. He's been experimenting with paper models as an inexpensive alternative to commercial H.O. scale kits for model railroad dioramas. Scott K.
