    Forbidden Planet Blaster?

Is there a model of this available anywhere? I've seen some pics in Photobucket of someone's build, but I can't tell if he found it somewhere or just modeled it himself. It looks like he's done/is doing a lot of modeling, so it might be a test run of one of his pieces.

    Another Buck Rogers Laser Gun

Aw, sweet! I didn't remember Buck ever posed with an AR-7. Cool! I've wanted to get one for awhile, because it was used in Star Wars and Empire. I think Ponda Baba may have had one (someone in the Cantina did, I think), plus the Rebel Hoth troopers also had a version. One version had a...

    78 Cylon Centurion (adaptation) Build

I was wondering, too! The Naboo ship I presumed was a model, painted.... somehow..... I'm not sure where the imageshack photo of the fender looking thing comes from. I didn't see it in the thread until I tried to post, and it showed up. Judging by the apparent overspray, I was guessing it...

    78 Cylon Centurion (adaptation) Build

Was the Naboo ship or the pic at http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/231/cimg2583.jpg/ brush painted? I'm guessing they were sprayed, but if they were brush painted, color me impressed! :thumb: I know there are many people who are much better brush painters than I am, but still.... Seems...

    78 Cylon Centurion (adaptation) Build

I found mirrored cardstock at a frame store/art store. It is with the matboard. It's not as thick as the matboard, but can be used in conjunction with the regular mats. Zathros, have you found a clear coat that didn't dull down the chrome paint? The stuff I always found makes it look way...

    78 Cylon Centurion (adaptation) Build

I've had some of their chrome for a long time, but never used it. I don't recall if it was the Alclad, or another chrome paint that looks fantastic (well, they both do, if I'm thinking of another one as well). Not 100% as good as chroming, but for the price, pretty darn amazing. And it may...

    78 Cylon Centurion (adaptation) Build

I'm working on my 2nd version of the helmet. The first version I tried using the silver cardstock. I must not have pre-curved the pieces enough before gluing, because the cardstock started to de-laminate. Also, when I got to the pieces that cover the back of the skull, apparently those...

Model of The Month TWO!: Battlestar Galactica TOS Colonial Warrior Blaster 1:1

I can't wait to build one of these puppies. It's looking really frakking good! I just came across a site that has some great pics of one of the original props. And you can see how pretty it isn't. (I'd still take it, though!) And even though this isn't a hero model, the hero models didn't...

Model of The Month TWO!: Battlestar Galactica TOS Colonial Warrior Blaster 1:1

Well, you're better off than me, I only know one language! :yep: Are you wondering if I have some of the model parts that were used to make the original prop? If so, yes, I have some of the kits that were used for the original prop, but probably not all. The barrel end was an acrylic faucet...

Model of The Month TWO!: Battlestar Galactica TOS Colonial Warrior Blaster 1:1

On the upper back sides of the main body of the guy are some rectangular parts from a model of a German anti-aircraft gun. I want to say that it's a Tamiya model, and I think it's a German 88mm 36 37. I've got a model around somewhere... I think some of the other bits on the blaster are also...

Battlestar Galactica and Buck Rogers Props

That is absurdly cool! I've been liking all the cool BSG paper models I've been seeing here, and looking forward to more, and these didn't even occur to me... and I made one from plastic a few years ago! :thumb: Looking good, and thanks! It's good to be reminded that not all props are...

Model of The Month TWO!: Battlestar Galactica TOS Colonial Warrior Blaster 1:1

Thumbs Up! That is continuing to look very cool! Good job! :thumb: A few years ago, I never would have even considered that making a paper model of this was even possible. Just goes to show how far the artform and skill level of people has come. I don't remember if you mentioned this, but...

Model of The Month TWO!: Battlestar Galactica TOS Colonial Warrior Blaster 1:1

Cap That's looking pretty cool! Sorry I gotta say that the top of the recharge cylinder is a little off... I've got one of the original magic markers they used for the recharge cylinder laying around somewhere, but I'm not sure where. I think (using the term loosely) that the top cap is more 6...

Battlestar Galactica and Buck Rogers Props

Those look pretty cool, but I can't open them up. I've tried WinRar and 7-Zip and get "Archive Broken" or "Unsupported compression method" messages.

    Babylon 5: Omega & Hyperion

Very cool! I've wanted to build those for quite some time. Good to have inspiration like this. Bob
