Come on back to the caboose and get a cup of coffee [or sweet ice tea] Part III

Looks like it took all of a couple of weeks for numbnutz to slide right back into his old routine - which is exactly what I posted on the forums a few months that got him all pissey to begin with. He keeps pushing and pushing and pushing until he looks around and realizes he has ticked so many...

Sorry to see that rt. Broke out some post war freight and put my favorite engines to work. It's starting to run smoother as I get the track connections firmed up. Here's the video: YouTube - Post War Lionel Test Run Part 2

Us ex-Alter Boys know such a permit is referred to as "Special Dispensation" as to your "irregularity" Chuck, that's a bit more information than any of us need . . .

Slowly but surely bringing it together. The video shows two trains running on the lower level and one at the top. Other than one troublesome switch, everything seems to work pretty well: YouTube - Lionel Postwar Test Run Once I get the tracks all fed with mutiple power feeds, I'll be able...

Come on back to the caboose and get a cup of coffee [or sweet ice tea] Part III

Evening Gentlemen - here's some track plan progress . . . Final refinements still being made in getting everything squared up and replacing old track with new, I eliminated the o72 and o54 curves on the inner and outer lines in the upper left corner. By doing this I make better use of the...

I admit, this "saga" so to speak has a lot of twists and turns, none of which have any bearing on my own opinion or actions, but nonetheless my curiousity has got the best of me as to the most recent turn of events.

Come on back to the caboose and get a cup of coffee [or sweet ice tea] Part III

Tom: While track planning software is nice, there is no substitute for having the open space and just laying stuff down until it works. With that said, this is probably the final . . . In order to get the tracks on the immediate right side of the center opening closer together, I...

Just playin' around with the placement of a few structures I did a few years back: Not sure what to do about this coaling tower. I like it too much not to use it, but I just can't find a logical spot for it: The LionelVille station howevere, will be at the end of Kirkland Place:

Come on back to the caboose and get a cup of coffee [or sweet ice tea] Part III

Happy Sunday kids. I am thinking some wise and sage proverb should be attached to this photo of my recent track planning escapade. Something along the lines of "only when you have been in the deepest depths can you appreciate the greatest heights" . . . This way not be the deepest of depths...

Yes Jim - I came upwith an absolutely ingenious solution to teh problem. Using a infrared spectrometer with a left handed destablizing ray attachment, I solved the problem by only running locos on that level that will clear the wall.
