    Lunar Module LM5 / 1:12 / own design

Michael, This is stunning! What scale is the model? Are the landing gear hinged? Are you planning on designing and building an interior? And lastly, will you be somehow making this design available once you finish? Thank you. Best of luck in this! Mike

    The Apollo Historical Series

Bengt, Thank you for your patience and your enthusiasm. The vastly updated graphics are George's work. Wanting to preserve what he did and getting it right is why this took so long to get out. We had a scaling issue that I was unable to fix until just recently. Until then, there was no...

Model Of The Month: 1/4 Scale Mercury Capsule: Done 1/1 Scale

Paper, out of curiosity, how long do you suspect this project will take? What do you plan on doing for the outer structure/shingles? Based on what I've seen so far, I have no doubt your solution will be remarkable. Mike

Model Of The Month: 1/4 Scale Mercury Capsule: Done 1/1 Scale

PaperAir, How in the WORLD will you resist the temptation to "reinforce" various parts of the model to allow yourself to have your own "procedures trainer"? If I was building a 1:1 scale model, and I couldn't get in it... Wow, I don't think I could do that! Mike

Flight conversion for Ton's 1/48th Soyuz

Blades, Never mind -- I sorted it out. More questions likely to follow. Mike

Flight conversion for Ton's 1/48th Soyuz

Blades, Another question. I have my 1st stage boosters built and the second stage well under way. In trying to envision how they fit together, I'm assuming you need to slit the boosters to let the tabs in the support structure fit in them so the boosters snug up against the "latticework"...

Flight conversion for Ton's 1/48th Soyuz

Blades, I've decided to take one of these on, so I have a couple quick questions for you. 1) How long is the length of BT-50 you used? At what point in the vehicle does it end? 2) You said you added 3 oz of ballast. Was that a combination of the epoxy/shot, or did you weigh out 3 oz of...

Flight conversion for Ton's 1/48th Soyuz

Blades, This is beautiful! One of my favorite things is to do conversions as well, and you certainly have my full attention! I converted Ton's Saturn V into a flier with great results. I also do as you did, use a central core tube for the purpose of using a D12-3. It's simple and works...

    Sojourner 1/24

I've only done a 1/240th N-1 that I designed and threw together as a flyer. I've yet to launch it. I need to build the big one someday. I encourage you to do the N-1! Man, think of the launch diorama you could come up with for that one... ;-)
