    Fremo F96-adapters

Thanks :) I'm trying the looks of WS fine cinder as a sub roadbed. And I'm testing a DIY-punktband http://www.goldenvalleyroute.com/misc/track/pucos/pucos.html#piranha More on this pretty soon...

    Fremo F96-adapters

I have begun work on two Fremo F96 adapters. They are to be used as transitions between Fremo and the swedish MMM-standard. http://www.goldenvalleyroute.com/modules/F96Adapters/adapters.html First one has the basics done.

    Handlaying track with Herei-punktkontaktsystem

Not many handlay track for Marklin, so I thought I'd document how I have used the punktkontaktsystem from Herei for my handlaid tracks. The Stuff needed: Erbert Herei Mittelleiter, punktkontakt HO scale wood ties (Kappler) Spikes (Micro Engineering) Cork and Rail (I use Code 83 from Micro...

Tedious work... I'm currently working on the mid-section. I decided to try the Erbert-Herei studs again. Here are the studs, soldered to a copper wire. And a FastTrack #5 (Left), glued in place slowly, slowly...

Thanks guys, Here's an updated track plan:

    Golden Valley module

a revised section Since I made the inner track a bit too tight for most 2R vehicles on the previous section, I hade to make sure that at least the 'main spur' has a radius big enough to let all engines/cars pass through. Thus the plan to have 2 identical 'A' sections had to be dropped. The new...

thanks guys! @Andrew, I didn't know about the milky feature. Wouldn't the PS grimy black wash cover/stick better on a DullCote base? I found it a bit hard to make it cover the shiny plastic surface :) (pics of the car using a flash really makes the car look bad...)

and inspired by all you guys weathering your cars, I gave it a whack (a Trix car...): Lesson learned? There is a reason why all tutorials state that one should begin with a coat of Testors Dull cote... Luckily I didn't start with my reefers...

    Golden Valley module

Some more work put into the project (with its ups and downs)... From a distance the road looks quite ok... ...but as one can see, I did a 'selective de-compression' of the distance between the yellow road markings.:curse:.That's what might happen when the enthusiasm takes precedence over...

All the track in place, alas the inner radius is a mere 40cm. I'll have to do better calculations on the following sections. Work has now continued with the road and the Bar mills crossing: I had to improvise so that the crossing is level with the track The road is a sheet of Evergreen...

More progress. I've been pre-drilling the spikeholes in the ties and aligning some rail . As you can see, I'm dropping a wire for each rail... since I will have 3 tracks that have to match when I connect the segments, I opted for a simple jig (styrene...). The track spacing is 6cm The spikes...
